Library WebHead is the blog of one librarian who focuses on web technologies (per a former colleague - a library "webhead"). In it, our webhead talks about the work she's doing with that library's website, which is, inevitably, a work in process! She also highlights some of the latest trends in web development and libraries. The views expressed here are the library webhead's only and do not necessarily represent those of her employer (or of any other organization or person).

Google Spreadsheets
Thanks to Steve Cauffman, at iCONN, for this tidbit. (I'd heard about it, but hadn't followed up further yet!) He found a glowing review of the new web-based spreadsheet product in WebMonkey - http://blog.wired.com/monkeybites/#gspread. In addition to the regular spreadsheet functionality (with ability to understand uploaded xls or csv files and to export/download to these same file formats), Google spreadsheets takes advantage of web technology to do some cool things - like supporting simultaneous viewing/editing of spreadsheets by multiple people synchronously! I haven't tried the product (see http://spreadsheets.google.com/) yet myself - you have to get an invitation from Google Labs to try it out - I've submitted my request, but we'll see what happens. This product is still a beta, but it looks like a winner already!
